A Champion for Community Safety
Frances Morrison, along with her husband, Attorney Michael Berdinella, has called Old Fig Garden home since 1994. From the age of 17, Frances has had a strong sense of right and wrong. Witnessing drug activity outside her apartment window, she knew she had to speak up to protect her neighborhood. This commitment led her to participate in over 100 ride-alongs with the Sheriff’s Office and the Police Department. Frances has served as a member of the Sheriff’s Advisory Committee and the Sheriff’s Office Neighborhood Watch Board. Her volunteer work includes time with the Fresno Sheriff’s Homicide Unit and Fresno County Jail Ministry. In 2011, she met Roz Clark, forming a lasting partnership that further fueled her dedication to community service. A graduate of the Fresno Police Department’s Resident’s Academy, Frances leads her own neighborhood group in the Old Fig Area. The tragic murder of Nick Kauls near her home spurred her to run for an open seat on the Fig Garden Police Protection District Board, where she was elected in November 2023. Frances continues to serve her community with unwavering dedication. Frances Morrison’s journey is a testament to her relentless pursuit of justice and safety. Her leadership and commitment have made a profound impact on Old Fig Garden and beyond.
